Founders
Michael Meagher.
Michael is founder and co-head of sales at Seaport. Before founding the firm, he was a president at Amroc Securities, where he launched the firm’s public bond trading business and led all aspects of the business including sales and risk management. Michael built his career in distressed at Kidder Peabody, Lehman Brothers and Salomon Brothers.
Michael holds a B.A. and M.A. from Marquette University and a J.D. from The Cornell Law School.
Stephen Smith.
Stephen is founder and co-head of sales at Seaport. Prior to founding the firm, he was a senior salesperson at Amroc Securities. Before Amroc, Stephen helped found Libra Investments, which became U.S. Bancorp Libra. He also sold high yield debt for Jefferies and Co. and was an investment banker at Merrill Lynch.
Stephen received his B.A. from Indiana University.
